Does insurance cover addiction treatment?

Some plans include benefits for substance use treatment. Federal law generally says plans cannot place stricter limits on these benefits than they place on medical care. This does not mean every plan covers every program. PMR's commercial in-network relationships are Blue Shield of California, Anthem Blue Cross, and Cigna/Evernorth. PMR may also work with PPO and POS plans when out-of-network benefits are included and the insurance company approves the recommended care.
