About PMR
How We Create & Review Content
Every clinical page on this site is written for families, reviewed by credentialed clinicians, and kept current. Here's exactly how.
Why we publish
Families searching for addiction treatment are often making one of the hardest decisions of their lives, quickly, and under stress. Our goal is to give you clear, honest, medically sound information so you can make a good decision, whether or not you ever call us.
Who writes and reviews our content
Content is drafted by our team, drawing on the day-to-day clinical experience of our program, and reviewed for clinical accuracy by Kathryn O’Cain Meyer, M.Ed, AADC, an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with decades of experience in substance use disorder treatment. Medical topics, detox, withdrawal, and medication-assisted treatment, reflect the oversight of our Medical Director, Dr. Kathryn Germeraad, D.O., a board-certified internal medicine physician and fellowship-trained addiction medicine specialist.
Our standards
- We do not promise outcomes. No honest treatment program can guarantee recovery.
- We never publish medical advice that should come from a clinician who knows you. Pages about withdrawal and medications say so explicitly.
- We describe our own services accurately, including what we don’t offer and who we may not be the right fit for.
- Claims about accreditation and licensing are verifiable: CARF Three-Year Accreditation through August 31, 2027, and DHCS licenses #370148AP and #370040AP.
How pages stay current
Clinical pages carry a “medically reviewed” byline. We re-review content when clinical guidance changes, when our programs change, and on a recurring schedule. If you spot something that looks out of date or wrong, tell us, we’ll fix it.

You do not have to figure this out alone.
Our first step is helping your family understand what may be needed now, and what support comes next. No pressure, just a conversation.
